What is it all about?

Counselling South Sheffield is a counselling service that aims to meet the needs of the community by use of 'Talking Therapy'. It is led by Ian Wainwright who is registered with the National Counselling Society and is an accredited professional. The practice is located within some rooms of Woodseats Methodist Church - Woodseats area of Sheffield. The ways of supporting people at CSS are:

Ian. works as a associate therapist with the following organisations:
BEACON COUNSELLING AND COACHING GROUP - A collection of self employed counsellors and coaches where by collective support and resources can be used by all;
EMBRACE (child victims of crime) - These are usually children and a main carer where communication and openness are key issues in moving both to a better place;
MATES IN MIND - An organisation based on supporting adults within the construction environment;
CBT CLINICS - An organisation by which Cognitive Behaviour Techniques are used over a given period to an individual need;
MOVING MINDS - An organisation for adult provision supporting both employers and individuals social life;
VALIDIUM - An Employee Assistant Program (EAP) organisation for adult provision supporting both employers and individuals work/social life.
CARE FIRST - An Employee Assistant Program (EAP) organisation for adult provision supporting both employers and individuals work/social life.
CARITAS - Sheffield Hallam Diocese supporting children and staff within Catholic Schools (Primary and Secondary)
Aviva Insurance Group - Offering support to employees
A therapist will usually see people within one of the practice rooms, but some people find the thought of face to face counselling indoors and in a relatively confined space, a daunting or overwhelming prospect. If this resonates with you, CSS offer the ‘Walk and Talk’ sessions.
